Mark Parkinson of Middleton Advisors was quoted in The Times newspaper’s Bricks and Mortar section, saying “It’s an emotional journey, very few properties have a clean bill of health, so agents can suggest ways around a problem the buyer encounters. Equally, buyers can get carried away by the beauty of a house and ignore a bad location. It is our job to put a hand on their shoulder and say, ‘Yes, the house is great, but what about the school run, the traffic noise or the flight path?’ Maybe we suggest another viewing — people are more analytical second time round.”
