Property experts have revealed the best place for people in their 20s to live in London. MyLondon spoke to Head of London Buying, Ashley Wilsdon to find out where’s best for a young, bohemian vibe. Hotspots in the past have been Balham, Crystal Palace, East London areas around Shoreditch – but are those still the places to be in your 20’s?
A London selling agent commented: “London is blessed with having all of the above in abundance, with the likes of Battersea Park a stand out location. It has everything a young adult could wish for, and with Battersea Power Station on the doorstep, the area has really cemented its reputation as a desirable place in which to live.”
Ashley Wilsdon on the other hand suggested a completely different area over in South East London – specifically Peckham. Disagreeing with the earlier comment, Ashley believes that “both Clapham and Battersea are now too expensive for people in their 20s”. He adds that Peckham had “good transport links into London” and was “vibrant area with a good choice of bars and restaurants”.
