The availability of grand country properties for rent has seen a significant surge, with a 120% increase in listings for rentals priced at £5,000 or more per month in rural areas in 2023 compared to 2022 – reports The Telegraph.
However, despite the surge in country rentals following the pandemic, the recent announcement of the abolition of the favourable tax regime for furnished holiday lettings in the Budget may diminish the appeal of this option.
