This trend, accelerated by lifestyle shifts since the pandemic, continues to reshape the definition of prime property in the UK.
“One of the most exclusive locations in the north Cotswolds is Kingham,” says Gemma Maclaran, our Cotswolds advisor. “The charming village is famous for having the amazing Daylesford Farm shop, as well as the Club by Bamford on its doorstep and two very good pubs, the Plough and Wild Rabbit, and a train station which attract professionals wanting to commute to Oxford or London.”
“While several houses above £2 million sit on the open market in the Winchester area, there are several in the same area that have traded at strong values, well hidden from view,” adds Ben Horne, Head of Country Buying. “One was above £4 million, one at £8 million and another at a similar level in the past month alone. All were within easy reach of Winchester, had access to good stations for commuters and were close to country prep schools, such as Farleigh and Twyford.”
